This high concept painting presents a dark, contrasting twist on an ancient theme. It features symbolic personifications of the dominant forces affecting humanity today: the God of Science and Technology, the Goddess of Desire and Decadence, and the God of Money and Power.

I spent many hours exploring various ideas to determine exactly how to portray these deities before bringing them to life in paint. Their halos were important elements, and served as the primary light sources for the scene. A warm/cool complementary color scheme proved highly effective, with a particularly striking lighting effect on the central goddess. The painting took over 250 hours to complete, yet the process was never monotonous. Each section of the artwork was truly absorbing to paint, holding my interest to the very end. I consider 21st Century Trinity to be one of my finest creations to date.
